Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Regs Lead Data Analyst, you will become a subject-matter specialist in database and claims analysis who actively participates in the development and implementation of new systems and reporting templates to meet emerging regulatory requirements in billing and coding compliance. You will provide standard monitoring reports and ad hoc reports as requested based upon external and internal data needs. The position requires subject matter knowledge in medical terminology particularly ICD-10 codes, CPT/HCPCS codes, standard code sets for billing, and health record documentation. You will support Regs data usage analysis, ad hoc reporting, changes to compliance dashboards and tracking databases, and ensure distribution of reports as required throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Ensure a standardized and consistent approach relating to Regs participation and analysis of retrieved data including written documentation of processes and data results.
+ With direction and supervision, acts as subject matter specialist to assist in requirements gathering and analysis with other clinical and IT&G team members to design and implement requirements to support consistent, reliable data retrieval from EDW, Business Objects, Big Query, and other systems as necessary.
+ Lead reporting standardization and automation efforts promoting efficiency and accuracy in data retrieval and documentation.
+ Develops and maintains reports, dashboards and databases for analysis of claims data for hospitals and physicians.
+ Provide moderate data analysis as requested by Group, Division, and Corporate leaders.
+ Ensure collaborative working relationships with Corporate departments, Divisions, and Practices to provide in-depth data analysis.
+ Use and support database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, applications, and workflow functions.
+ Escalate to and collaborate with Assistant Vice President, Pharmacy on program issues and risks to identify solutions.
+ Other duties assigned as necessary, to support Regs, Legal Counsel, Senior Leadership, and other HCA Healthcare entities.
+ Experience in enterprise-level data retrieval and analysis including implementation and enhancement of processes to ensure data accuracy and efficient retrieval.
+ Detail-oriented work output with highest level of reliability.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree is required
+ Master’s degree is preferred
+ 1+ year(s) of experience in EDW, Casemix, CDW, Financials, Patient Accounting, Meditech, Epic, or Cerner is required
+ Experience with relational database management systems including national and internal databases is preferred
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities is required.
+ Demonstrated oral, written, and technical communication skills is required
+ Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, SQL, Qlikview, Power BI, Big Query, SAP Business Objects is preferred
