Our client is seeking 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians to join their team with experience in Automotive Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with either Steel, Rubber, or Plastic Injection Molding. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization. These opportunities are either Temp to hire or Direct Hire.
**Job Title:** 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
**Location(s):** Sterling Heights, Warren and Auburn Hills, MI
**Pay Range:** $28.00 to $35.00/hr.
**Shift:** 2nd Shift
Steel Maintenance Technician
+ Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC machines, building presses, and equipment throughout the plant, including electrical repair and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
+ Install new equipment as required based on blueprints and layout schematics.
+ Rebuild and/or refurbish equipment including CNCs, presses, conveyors, feed systems, and transfers.
What’s Needed?
+ Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
+ Experience with MIG and ARC welding.
+ Ability to operate maintenance machinery such as Bridgeport, surface grinder, lathe, and drill press, along with precision measuring equipment.
+ Must possess own tools needed for the performance of maintenance functions.
Rubber/Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Technician
+ Independently modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoots various types of injection press & axillary equipment
+ Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, retrofitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving
+ Diagnose electrical faults and failures and trouble shoot solutions by performing control system analysis and interpretation of PLC ladder logic diagrams to solve problems
+ Fix and maintain plant equipment including air compressors, chillers, water towers, and fire systems
What’s Needed?
+ 5 years’ experience maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
+ PLC experience with AB PLC-5 or Siemens
+ Trained in hydraulics or 5 years’ relevant experience
+ Trained in pneumatics of 5 years’ relevant experience
+ Must be able to read blueprints and schematics and technical sketches
