Our client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Java API Engineer to join their team. As a Java API Engineer, you will be part of the Transaction Processing Product team supporting modernization initiatives and core banking transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Java API Engineer

**Location:** Charlotte, North Carolina

**Pay Range: $55.00-** $59.00/hr

What's the Job?

+ Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP-based services for core banking applications.

+ Build and integrate Java microservices following established integration patterns.

+ Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure scalability and reliability of transaction processing systems.

+ Work within IntelliJ as the standard development environment across the organization.

+ Deploy and manage services using Kubernetes/Docker, with a preference for OpenShift experience.

What's Needed?

+ Proficiency in Java, REST APIs, SOAP, and XML.

+ Experience with microservices architecture and integration patterns.

+ Familiarity with IntelliJ IDE and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes/Docker.

+ Knowledge of GitHub Copilot and AI integration concepts is advantageous.

+ Understanding of AI platforms such as Gemini, GPT, and Claude, with the ability to conceptualize AI workflows at the API level.
