Job Description
The Senior BI Analyst will be responsible for the full solution of our reporting and analytics framework, and its adoption through the organization. The Senior BI Analyst owns the vision of Vistar’s data structure, road maps, and data integration ensuring scalable, performant consumption of data within the organization. This person interacts across all levels of users in order to understand and process new data requests. The Senior BI Analyst supports users by enabling and optimizing self-service reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, possessing a collaborative and nimble workstyle with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead small team of data integration and reporting analysts delivering key insights to the organization
+ Design and implement dimensional models and develop the semantic layer to support BI tools and self-serve analytics, delivering single source of truth
+ Drive data accessibility and application change through the organization and drive a culture of data literacy improving productivity
+ Coordinate across business teams utilizing expertise in order to translate business requirements into complete, coherent data structures
+ Create data models, ERD, source to target, and data flow diagrams
+ Perform data analysis in order to validate assumptions, support decision-making, troubleshoot issues, and identify improvements in data quality and structure
+ Execute supporting multiple projects at once through continuously reevaluating priorities and deadlines

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Must be local to Denver - we will not consider out of states candidates
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years in data engineering / data modeling / BI
• Deep end to end understanding and implementation of Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing concepts: Data Modeling, Data Integration, Reporting
• Understand OLTP vs OLAP designs and proper utilization of each modeling technique ensuring performance. Experience solving performance challenges for both latency, velocity, and query constructs
• Experience creating and maintaining data models, ERD, data flow diagrams, and data architecture for operational and analytical datastores while integrating data catalogs for business users.
• Proven ability to build Power BI solutions, DAX, Power Query, data models, dashboard design, role and row level security, and implementing strong governance policies.
• Strong understanding of Informatica IICS, mappings and transformations, mapplets, tasks, task flows, schedules, recovery design.

• Experience supporting Distribution organizations with integrated owned and unowned inventory specifically in high transactional retail/eCommerce focus.
• Enterprise Reporting program definition, strategy, and planning activities
• Experience implementing automated quality-control checks Develop KPI reporting and dashboards driving increased operational efficiency
• End-to-end analytics automation including data streaming, ETL/ELT best practices
• Snowflake designing and data sharing within the organization and with external partners
• Experience conducting code reviews and ensuring best practices in coding standards
• Experience aligning data lake and marts with business goals and strategic decision-making
