    **Job Title:** Resident Living Manager – SA Halfway House

    **Job Type:** Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexibility required to cover staff call-outs)

     

    Overview

     

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated **Resident Living Manager** to oversee operations at our Substance Abuse Halfway House in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will have a background in **social work or behavioral health** , strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to balance administrative responsibilities with direct client support. This role is ideal for someone who is resourceful, team-oriented, and able to develop internal processes as well as community partnerships.

    Minimum Requirements

    + **Bachelor’s degree required** (Social Work, Behavioral Health, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred)

    + **1–5 years of experience** in social services, behavioral health, residential programs, or related fields (flexible)

    + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced residential environment

    Key Responsibilities

    Staff Supervision

    + Hire, onboard, schedule, and train staff

    + Conduct performance evaluations and administer disciplinary action when appropriate

    + Provide ongoing coaching and ensure staff accountability to policies and procedures

    House Administration

    + Screen clients for admission

    + Complete necessary documentation for authorizations and reauthorizations

    + Review staff notes for accuracy and timely submission

    + Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans

    + Support client progress and address behavioral or program-related concerns

    Client Support & Engagement

    + Coordinate or provide transportation for clients

    + Develop and lead structured activities, interventions, and life skills programming

    + Coach clients in budgeting, housekeeping, employment readiness, and time management

    + Assist clients with job placement and long-term planning

    + Lead discharge and transition planning

    Interdisciplinary Collaboration

    + Advocate for client needs with the treatment team

    + Share client updates, concerns, and progress with supervisors and team members

    + Work cohesively with all members of the client’s care team

    Compensation

    + **Salary:** $42,000–$47,000 annually

    + Higher end offered for candidates with a master’s degree or extensive experience
