Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conduct research and evaluation related to nutrition incentive programs and broader policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies.
+ Collaborate with community coalitions and stakeholders to implement and assess interventions aligned with the High Obesity Program,
+ Contribute to data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings to inform public health practice and policy.
+ Design and implement evaluation strategies for nutrition incentive programs, including SNAP-based initiatives and produce prescription programs.
+ Assess the effectiveness and reach of Food is Medicine interventions in improving dietary behaviors and health outcomes.
+ Analyze program data and contribute to reports, publications, and presentations that inform policy and practice.
+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to support evidence-based program development and scaling.
+ Support implementation and evaluation of a peer-to-peer learning initiative aimed at enhancing resilience, reducing social isolation, and promoting self-determination.
+ Develop and apply mixed-methods evaluation tools to assess program outcomes and participant experiences.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
+ Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in public health, nutrition, health promotion, behavioral science, community health, or a related field.
+ Valid drivers license
+ Demonstrated experience in community-based research, program implementation, or evaluation related to public health or health promotion.
+ Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies in the context of nutrition, physical activity, or chronic disease prevention.
+ Experience with project coordination and time management across multiple concurrent tasks.
+ Experience with program evaluation frameworks and tools, especially in public health or community-based settings.
+ Familiarity with federal nutrition programs (e.g., SNAP, WIC) and/or Food is Medicine initiatives.
+ Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, Dedoose, or similar).
