Job Title: Assistant Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to step into the role of Assistant Project Manager for an ongoing water meter replacement, installation, and maintenance project. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in construction or utilities to grow into a project management position.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee water meter installation and maintenance projects.

+ Coordinate routine maintenance for new builds and larger-scale valve and pipe replacement projects.

+ Collaborate with clients and field crews.

+ Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and support foremen and crews.

+ Manage emergency repair scheduling and response.

+ Utilize internal project management software for planning and tracking.

+ Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and representatives.

Essential Skills

+ 1–3 years of experience in construction, utilities, or related field.

+ Project management skills.

+ Construction management and project coordination.

+ Background in construction or engineering with piping experience.

+ Familiarity with project management tools and software.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Engineering or construction background is ideal.

+ Working knowledge of water main or water distribution systems preferred.

+ Flexibility to accommodate emergency repairs.

+ Construction management degree is a plus.

Work Environment

The role requires working onsite, 7 days a week, and traveling to various sites. The candidate must be available on call for emergency responses. The company offers a supportive environment with a clear path for growth into a Project Manager role, along with benefits such as medical, vision, dental, and financial packages. A company cell phone and a $700 a month allowance for a truck are also provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.05/hr.
