    Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

    Job Description:

    The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a crucial role in efficiently managing the flow of materials, equipment, property, and supplies within the warehouse. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and documenting deliveries, preparing shipments, and ensuring compliance with commercial and military specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist in receiving, logging, and documenting delivered materials, equipment, property, and supplies.

    + Perform quality inspections and report non-conforming or damaged materials as required.

    + Prepare commercial and MIL-SPEC shipment paperwork and packaging for outgoing shipments.

    + Ensure shipments conform to purchase order specifications or shipping instructions.

    + Interact daily with MIL-SPEC and commercial contracts and shipping requirements.

    + Input data into vendor shipping modules, Wide Area Work Flow, and other related platforms.

    + Maintain and create shipping and receiving records and logs.

    + Fill stock issues from bulk locations and warehouse stock requisitions as needed.

    + Conduct standard safety and maintenance checks and operate warehouse-related vehicles and material handling equipment.

    + Make deliveries and pickups as required.

    Essential Skills:

    + Experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, inventory control, and order selection.

    + Proficiency in labeling and computer operations.

    + Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    + Valid driver's license.

    + Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

    + Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.

    + Dependable and capable of working independently.

    + Excellent communication skills and teamwork attributes.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    + Physical ability to move repetitively and lift 50 lbs or more overhead and/or repetitively.

    + Comfortable working in hot and cold environments with minimal climate control.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various noise levels.

    This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
