    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic to oversee a team of two mechanics, performing and conducting maintenance on heavy equipment, including excavators, forklifts, and other construction machinery. The role involves troubleshooting problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals, and service bulletins. You will also handle maintenance job duties and quote customers for billing.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee and manage a team of two mechanics.

    + Perform maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, loaders, and bulldozers.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues using various tools and manuals.

    + Quote customers for billing and ensure customer satisfaction.

    + Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.

    Essential Skills

    + Extensive experience in maintenance on heavy equipment.

    + Proficiency with diesel engines and repair.

    + Supervisory or lead experience in construction management.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude with construction equipment.

    + Experience in maintenance repair and blueprint reading.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous supervisor or lead experience.

    + Ability to be customer-facing and lead a crew of mechanics.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $80000.00/yr.

    This is a fully onsite position in Waterloo,IA.
