    Job Title: Welding Instructor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd shift Welding Instructor to coach and mentor students aspiring to enter the welding field. The instructor will be responsible for preparing and delivering all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the required curriculum. This role includes following current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program. The instructor will also maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events, monitor student attendance and retention, and grade assignments in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide educational assistance to students during scheduled times or by appointment.

    + Advise students on school policies and satisfactory performance.

    + Maintain communication with the Lead Welding Instructor regarding activities.

    + Submit current textbook, supply, and equipment needs in writing to the Lead Welding Instructor.

    + Monitor and maintain all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities.

    + Submit purchase orders to the purchasing department for necessary items.

    + Secure consumable supplies and educational materials from the administrative office as needed.

    + Maintain professional appearance at all times.

    + Communicate with administration on all student-related issues.

    + Maintain professional expertise by attending educational seminars, reading current literature, and attending online courses.

    + Ensure students follow the catalog guidelines daily.

    + Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings set by the corporate office.

    + Serve on committees such as curriculum development and retention as assigned based on expertise or campus needs.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in TIG, MIG, STICK, and FLUX CORE welding.

    + Understanding of WPS and blueprint reading.

    + Ability to lead, hold students accountable, and provide excellent customer service.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in refinery and/or field welding - TIG, Stick.

    + Experience in manufacturing welding - MIG, Flux.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.
