Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Join our team as a Machinist in a clean and organized machine shop environment, featuring 18 different machining centers, including both 3-axis milling and lathe machines in vertical and horizontal configurations. This role involves close collaboration with the supervisor to verify all offsets and setups, with no programming required, and step-by-step written instructions available for operators.

Responsibilities

+ Work closely with the supervisor to verify all offsets and setups.

+ Follow step-by-step written instructions for operating machinery.

+ Read and interpret routers and blueprints accurately.

+ Perform recording tasks and utilize basic math skills.

+ Engage in a hands-off position that requires attention to detail.

Essential Skills

+ US Citizenship

+ Experience in CNC operating

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints

+ Mechanical aptitude

+ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Fanuc control, lathe machines, and CNC lathe operations

+ Troubleshooting and changeover skills

+ CNC setup knowledge is beneficial but not required

+ Programming skills are nice to have but not essential

Work Environment

Work in a well-maintained machine shop with a schedule of 6 am to 2:30/3 pm. Half-day Saturdays are encouraged, and overtime is available, with most employees working a 50-hour week. The position offers a competitive pay rate in a supportive and stable setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
