    Job Description

    This Maintenance Technician position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with possible weekend shifts. New hires will work 8-hour shifts. The role involves performing a variety of mechanical repairs on equipment such as laser sensors, cylinders, pneumatic valves, and more, primarily focused on plastic injection presses and assembly equipment.

     

    + Conduct mechanical repairs on laser sensors, cylinders, pneumatic valves, hot plate welders, and other equipment.

    + Maintain and repair equipment such as proximity sensors, heater probes, pin stamps, pressure switches, bowl feeders, and air compressors.

    + Work on and troubleshoot Fanuc robots and press top robots including SEPRO, RANGER, AUTOMATED ASSEMBLIES.

    + Troubleshoot and perform minor edits on Allen Bradley PLC controllers.

    + Focus on load cells, intelligent actuators, and troubleshooting vision systems.

    + Operate and troubleshoot automated screw guns, bowl feeding/blow feeding systems, VFDs, laser printers, and proximity sensors.

    + Perform wiring and ensure operational efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

    + Proficiency in machine repair, hydraulic repair, and preventive maintenance.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills in PLCs and electrical systems.

    + 8 years of experience working with automated equipment.

    + 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician.

    + 5 years of experience in process verification on plastic injection cells.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2 years of maintenance experience in a plastic injection facility is a plus.

    + Ability to hook up and view programs on PLC software.

    The facility is a clean tier 2 automotive supplier with all materials run underground to maintain cleanliness. The assembly area is located at the front, with plastic injection processes at the back.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
