Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Fairfield, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering flexible hours and the option to work part-time throughout the year or increased hours during peak tax seasons. The role involves preparing individual tax returns and providing high-quality service to clients with varying financial situations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate individual tax returns, including those involving rental properties and Schedule C forms.

• Utilize ProSeries software to efficiently manage tax preparation tasks.

• Analyze financial documents and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related inquiries.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and industry practices.

• Organize and manage workload effectively to meet deadlines during busy tax seasons.

• Review completed tax returns for accuracy and completeness before submission.

• Use Excel to manage and calculate financial data as needed.

• Provide year-round support to clients, with increased hours during peak periods and part-time availability otherwise. Requirements • Proven experience in individual tax preparation, including handling rental properties and Schedule C forms.

• Proficiency with ProSeries tax software.

• Strong knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.

• Ability to work with Excel for financial data management and calculations.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and addressing their concerns.

• Flexibility to work increased hours during busy seasons and part-time throughout the year.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
