Description We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing the IT infrastructure of a leading plastics manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT specialist seeking to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment while advancing their career.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain server, network, and system performance to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
• Conduct regular updates, backups, and patches to protect data integrity and system availability.
• Configure, implement, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Provide technical support for users, resolving issues related to operating systems, networks, and applications.
• Administer and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Collaborate with the IT team to introduce new technologies and enhance existing systems.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting protocols.
• Deliver on-call support for critical outages, including remote assistance and on-site interventions as required.
• Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper system access and security compliance.
• Train end-users on IT systems and applications while promoting security awareness and best practices. Requirements • Strong experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Windows 10/11 systems.
• Proficiency in network and system administration, including Office 365.
• Familiarity with backup solutions, disaster recovery protocols, and security best practices.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, MCSA, or Cisco CCNA are highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent documentation skills for IT processes and system maintenance.
