    Description

    Our client, a growing consumer products company in Carlsbad, is seeking an organized and dependable Accounting Assistant to support daily financial operations and provide hands-on assistance across AP, AR, and general accounting tasks. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who’s looking to build a long-term accounting career in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist with processing invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments

    + Enter high-volume transactions into the accounting system with precision

    + Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for product shipments

    + Support the AR team with customer invoicing, payment posting, and credit memos

    + Maintain digital and physical accounting files, ensuring accuracy and organization

    + Support month-end tasks such as account reconciliations and journal entry prep

    + Assist with inventory reconciliation and SKU cost updates

    + Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies

    + Provide backup support to the front office and operations team during peak times

    Requirements

    + 1–2 years accounting or administrative experience

    + Proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)

    + Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar accounting software preferred

    + High attention to detail and strong follow-through

    + Ability to multitask in a busy office environment

    + Strong communication skills and professionalism
