Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Douglasville, Pennsylvania part-time. This position requires strong expertise in financial management and accounting operations, including the use of QuickBooks and payroll systems. As a vital contributor, you will play a key role in managing budgets, audits, and day-to-day accounting tasks. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy.

• Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage invoicing, reporting, and system integrations.

• Conduct internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and verifying compliance.

• Collaborate with department leaders to develop and monitor budgets, identifying areas for cost optimization.

• Generate customized financial reports for management and tax purposes.

• Assist with forecasting and financial planning to support organizational goals.

• Troubleshoot accounting system issues and provide solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Support process improvement initiatives for streamlined financial operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

• Experience with payroll systems and compliance regulations.

• Ability to conduct bank reconciliations and financial audits.

• Skilled in budgeting and financial forecasting.

• Familiarity with creating and customizing financial reports.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
