This position requires teaching 4 classes with a maximum of 3 preparations. Some evening or online teaching may be required. Five hours of office hours are required per week. In addition, the faculty member is required to engage in various scholarly activities and provide service to the University. Position is a nine month appointment.

Position Summary
Slippery Rock University invites applications for a tenure track position Assistant Professor of Social Work in the Department of Psychology, Social Work, and Recreation Therapy. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in our BSSW and MSW programs. Responsibilities also include conducting scholarly research in community and organizational practice; advising undergraduate and graduate students; and performing service to the department, the university, and the community as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
Appointment to the position requires a Ph.D. or DSW in Social Work or a related field, as well as an MSW from a CSWE -accredited university and at least one academic year (9 months) of relevant college-level teaching experience (full- or part-time).
