    Overview

     

    The Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst supports USINDOPACOM J2 and the China Red Team by conducting advanced, all-source analytic production derived from publicly available information (PAI). This role provides senior-level OSINT tradecraft expertise, develops collection support plans, and conducts Level 2 OSINT targeting and analysis to address Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and Essential Elements of Information (EEIs). The ideal candidate combines deep OSINT operational experience with strong analytic skills, social network analysis expertise, and the ability to support sensitive, signature-reduced collection efforts aligned to Indo-Pacific mission requirements.

    Responsibilities

    All-Source OSINT Analysis & Production

     

    + Performs all-source analytic production using open-source information from public, private, U.S., and foreign-government sources within established security protocols.

    + Analyzes foreign and domestic PAI to identify trends, patterns, networks, and relationships relevant to defense intelligence requirements.

    + Produces high-quality, actionable OSINT assessments that support operational decision-making and strategic analysis.

     

    Research Support Plan (RSP) Development

     

    + Researches, drafts, and delivers comprehensive Research Support Plans (RSPs) tailored for Level 2 OSINT collectors.

    + Ensures RSPs provide clear collection guidance, methodology, and analytic framing aligned with mission priorities.

     

    Level 2 OSINT Tradecraft Support

     

    + Provides senior OSINT tradecraft expertise to enhance Level 2 collection activities, including signature reduction, operational security, and advanced research methods.

    + Ensures Level 2 tasks adhere to USINDOPACOM JIOC guidelines and operational standards.

     

    Intelligence Requirements Development

     

    + Advises on scoping and creating Essential Elements of Information (EEIs) tied to USINDOPACOM J2 Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs).

    + Ensures EEIs are properly structured to guide OSINT collection and analytic activities.

     

    China Red Team Support

     

    + Advises the China Red Team on OSINT-related issues including:

    + Program management

    + Operational execution

    + Planning

    + Resourcing

    + Policy development

    + Supports initiatives that strengthen the USINDOPACOM OSINT enterprise.

     

    Social Network & Structured Analytic Assessments

     

    + Conducts structured analytic assessments of target social networks, relationships, and influence structures.

    + Identifies critical nodes, connections, and pathways relevant to EEIs and PIR-driven intelligence problems.

    + Provides visualizations, written assessments, and analytic narratives supporting joint operational planning and targeting.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    + Extensive experience conducting OSINT research, analysis, and production in support of DoD or IC missions.

    + Proven ability to develop research plans, collection guidance, and analytic frameworks for OSINT operations.

    + Strong knowledge of Level 2 OSINT collection tradecraft and signature reduction techniques.

    + Experience generating EEIs and aligning OSINT efforts to PIRs and command intelligence requirements.

    + Skilled in social network analysis, structured analytic techniques, and multi-source integration.

    + Exceptional writing, briefing, and communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, China-focused missions, or Indo-Pacific regional intelligence requirements.

    + Familiarity with USINDOPACOM JIOC OSINT guidelines and Red Team methodologies.

    + Experience advising senior leaders on OSINT strategy, policy, or enterprise management.

    + Expertise with commercial and government OSINT tools, PAI exploitation platforms, and network analysis software.
