Temporary Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Temporary Sr. Accountant to join our team and oversee the financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, general ledger entries, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will also be instrumental in guiding junior accountants and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

+ Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.

+ Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.

+ Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management.

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

+ Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

+ Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

+ Mentor and guide junior accountants and finance staff.

Skills and Qualifications Required

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

+ Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.

+ Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

+ Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Monroe, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
