Copywriter Manager - Marketing

We are seeking an interim Manager to lead our copywriting efforts. As a vital part of our in-house creative team, you will shape expressive, engaging brand communications that enhance the guest experience across various channels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your role will involve defining and refining our brand voice, executing marketing campaigns, and overseeing two copywriters to ensure every message is tonally on-brand and strategically aligned. You will act as a brand steward, partnering with stakeholders and leadership to drive impactful creative work.

+ Lead end-to-end creative development of print and digital marketing communications, ensuring messaging aligns with strategy and elevates brand storytelling across the customer journey.

+ Drive integrated content strategy and execution across brand channels, guiding junior creatives to produce cohesive, high-quality output.

+ Own adaptation of brand voice, ensuring consistency across platforms. Craft compelling, audience-focused copy and adapt tone as platforms, audiences, and strategic priorities evolve.

+ Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, partnering with traffic/project managers to prioritize tasks and optimize resources.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field.

+ 7+ years of experience in a creative agency or in-house creative team; retail experience preferred.

+ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills; food writing experience a plus.

+ Portfolio showcasing compelling, diverse creative work across multiple channels and mediums.

+ Experience with SEO and content strategy, plus strong research and analytical skills.

Work Environment

This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week on-site in Newton, MA. It offers an awesome opportunity to work for a company that is continuing to grow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of West Newton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
