Job Title: YouthBuild Queens Pre-Apprenticeship Intern
Program: YouthBuild Queens – Workforce Development
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Schedule: 15–20 hours per week
Program Duration: Up to 240 total hours
Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Eligibility: Young Adults Ages 17–24

About the YouthBuild Queens Pre-Apprenticeship Program
The YouthBuild Queens Pre-Apprenticeship Workforce Development Program offers paid internship opportunities for young adults ages 17–24 throughout New York City. This program is designed to help participants develop foundational workplace skills, gain hands-on experience, and explore pathways to long-term employment, apprenticeships, or continued education.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Report to an assigned workplace supervisor and the QCH Internship Coordinator
+ Participate in mandatory work readiness trainings and job coaching workshops
+ Perform site-specific duties, which may include administrative support, customer service, or program assistance
+ Demonstrate professionalism, including punctuality, adherence to workplace policies, and appropriate workplace attire
+ Maintain regular communication with the QCH Internship Coordinator regarding progress, challenges, and support needs
+ Complete and submit timesheets, evaluations, and required documentation accurately and on time
+ Represent Queens Community House in a professional, respectful, and positive manner at all times
Qualifications
+ Must be between 17–24 years of age
+ Preference given to individuals who are low-income and not currently enrolled in school
+ Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
+ Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a team environment
+ Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments responsibly
