Here's what you'll be doing:
+ Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas that need protection during the painting process
+ Mix only the amount of refinish products (primer, base and clear) required to cover repair/refinish area and limit waste, using paint suppliers “mix-management system”
+ Apply primers and sealers to prepped panels prior to painting
+ Utilize power tools effectively for surface preparation, including sanders and grinders
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards
+ Work with lead techs to keep vehicles to ensure appropriate work flow
+ Maintain paint department area, including filter change for spray booth, sweeping, garbage, etc
+ Cut and buff parts following the paint process
+ Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., may spray paint vehicles if necessary, etc.
Here’s what you’ll need:
+ 3 years automotive paint experience or equivalent
+ Must be at least 18 years old with ability to work in the US
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience and an eye for detail
+ Valid in-state driver's license with good driving record, per company standards
+ Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
