The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in driving Georgia Piedmont
Technical College’s enrollment marketing efforts by creating compelling content, managing
digital platforms, and executing campaigns that connect with prospective and current
students. This forward-thinking, creative professional will help shape how GPTC tells its
story across various platforms, including social media, the website, digital advertising,
email, and others—building brand awareness, boosting engagement, and supporting
enrollment goals.
This position requires a hands-on creator who is both strategic and collaborative. The ideal
candidate will bring a strong background in digital marketing, content creation, and
enrollment communications, along with the ability to work across departments to deliver
innovative campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Campaign Development
• Create engaging content for social media, digital ads, email campaigns, and website
features that highlight GPTC’s programs, services, and student success stories.
• Develop campaigns that support enrollment, student engagement, and awareness
of college services.
• Work with photography, video, and graphic assets to produce compelling visuals
and multimedia content.
• Write clear, persuasive copy tailored for different platforms and audiences.
2. Digital Marketing & Data Analytics
• Manage social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) to
increase visibility and engagement.
• Recommend and help implement paid and organic digital marketing strategies in
conjunction with a third-party vendor to reach prospective students.
• Track performance of campaigns using analytics tools, providing insights and
recommendations for improvement.
• Stay current with best practices and trends in digital marketing, enrollment
communications, and higher education.
3. Collaboration & Enrollment Support
• Partner with Admissions, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other departments
to align marketing strategies with enrollment goals.
• Support the development and promotion of recruitment events, both in-person and
virtual.
• Ensure all communications reflect GPTC’s brand voice and reinforce its role as a
workforce-focused anchor institution for the community.
• Serve as a creative thought partner, bringing new ideas and a willingness to take
calculated risks to advance the College’s marketing efforts.
4. Adaptability & Creative Growth
• Embrace changing priorities and shifting needs with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Take initiative to propose and pilot creative approaches to reaching prospective
students.
• Seek continuous learning opportunities in digital media, higher ed marketing, and
enrollment best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related
field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or
enrollment communications.
• Strong skills in content creation (writing, photography, video, or design).
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools (social scheduling platforms, analytics
dashboards, email marketing systems, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong time management skills, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• A collaborative spirit, with the confidence to bring forward new, creative ideas.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in higher education marketing, technical education, or enrollment
management.
• Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and paid digital advertising campaigns.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar content design tools.
• Video editing or short-form content creation experience for platforms such as
Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
