    Program Specialist – Contract Role

     

    Pay: $21/hour

     

    Schedule: 100% Remote

     

    Contract Length: 4 months

     

    Start Date: January 26, 2026

    End Date: TBD

    Important Note: This is a contract role only. It is not a contract-to-hire position.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking Program Specialists to join Neovance on a short-term contract assignment. This role is designed for professionals with strong call center and healthcare customer service experience who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

     

    As a Program Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and providers, delivering operational and reimbursement support for complex programs. Your responsibility will be to own issues end-to-end, identify barriers, and collaborate with the appropriate parties to ensure patients and providers gain access to the therapies they need.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Handle 60–100 inbound calls per day with an average handle time of 6 minutes.

    + Address inquiries related to enrollment status, medication shipment status, patient outreach for missing information, and general patient questions.

    + Manage and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy.

    + Provide support for safety/adverse event reporting (preferred experience).

    + Maintain 100% call quality standards.

    + Perform accurate and timely data entry into program tracking systems.

    + Demonstrate discipline and focus while managing extended periods of customer interaction.

     

    Note: Heavy call volume is expected between February and March.

    Required Skills & Experience

    + Call Center Experience: Minimum 2 years in a high-volume environment.

    + Healthcare Customer Service: At least 2 years of experience in healthcare-related customer support.

    + Remote Work Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.

    + Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using multiple software platforms and technology tools.

    + Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

    + Empathy & Patience: Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion.

    + Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.

    + Independent Work: Ability to work with minimal supervision.

    Preferred Experience

    + Major medical program support

    + Buy and bill processes

    + Acquisition channel experience

    + Insurance benefits verification

    This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
