    Description

    The College of Business at Stony Brook University invites applications for an Adjunct Lecturer of Management (Operations and Decision Analytics) to teach for the Spring 2026 semester. A suitable candidate will have expertise in at least one of these areas, business statistics, data analysis and decision making, ideally in all three.

    Responsibilities:

    + Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in management (current needs lie in the areas of operations management, AI and machine learning, and business statistics).

    + Develop course content and materials in accordance with college and area guidelines

    + Provide academic support and guidance to students

    + Participate in departmental meetings and activities as required

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in an analytics-related field (e.g., Business Analytics, Operations Management, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline) from an accredited institution

    + Demonstrated university-level teaching experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field.

    + Demonstrated record of excellent teaching at the university level in different formats (online, in-person, and/or hybrid)

    + Expertise in Operations Management (OM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and/or Machine Learning applications in business

    + Relevant industry experience in business analytics or data-driven decision making
