    *Clinical Nurse - Mays Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)*

    *Summary*

     

    The *Clinical Nurse in the Mays Post Anesthesia Care Unit *is responsible for the provision of care to patients and families consistent with the unit's values, beliefs, and behaviors to meet the demands of the future.

     

    *Ideal Candidate Statement*

     

    The ideal candidate will have experience in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry Unit, Emergency Room, and/or Pediatrics. They will demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical expertise, thrive under pressure, and bring an innovative and collaborative approach to care. With a passion for patient- and family-centered care, they are committed to continuously improving practice and outcomes.

     

    *Schedule:*

    • Day shift Extended Recovery/PACU

    • (3) 12-hour shift and (1) 4-hour shift

    • Every other weekend and occasional holidays

    *Hourly breakdown of salary range:*

     

    Minimum $32.69 - Midpoint $50.48 - Maximum $68.26

     

    PLUS - Nurses will earn up to $7,280 in annual department-based differentials.

    Clinical Expertise

    *Education:*

     

    Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

     

    *Experience:*

    *Preferred:* at least one year of Registered Nurse experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry Unit, Emergency Room, and/or Pediatrics.

    *Licensure/Certification:*

     

    Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the following department: Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit (600160).
