    Job Description

    **AECOM’s** Water Business Line is seeking a **Water Resources Project Manager** to join our El Paso, Texas, office. This is an opportunity to lead multidisciplinary projects that shape critical water infrastructure in El Paso, across Texas, and beyond. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in client/project management and civil engineering design of public infrastructure water/wastewater conveyance and stormwater/floodplain management projects and will bring creative solutions and leadership to our growing El Paso water team.

    Key Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    * Manage water resources projects including but not limited to floodplain modeling and mapping studies, municipal water resources and water/wastewater projects, and transportation drainage design.

    * Identify new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promote AECOM’s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.

    * Participate in project opportunity evaluation, form project teams, and prepare AECOM's qualification/experience statements.

    * Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and draft complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.

    * Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms and monitor subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.

    * Prepare project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget, and communicate these to project team members; monitor/manage project production for compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

    * May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff including managing workload and project staffing.

    * Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers.

    * Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or related discipline) and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    + **Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license** or ability to obtain within 6 months.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 10 or more years of related experience

    + 3 or more years performing project management

    + Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D, xpSWMM, HydroCAD, WinSLAMM, FHWA Toolbox, HY-8, ArcGIS, AutoDesk Civil 3D Storm and Sanitary Analysis / Pipe Networks or Bentley OpenRoads Drainage

    + Experience working with local clients in the El Paso area.

    + Candidates must have proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking, and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplined teams.

    + Offered compensation will be based on individual qualifications.

     

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $115000 to $145000.
