Educational Diagnostician – $50/hr – Killeen, TX

Position Overview:

We are seeking three Educational Diagnosticians to assess and diagnose learning problems of students. This role works within a multidisciplinary team to make decisions regarding placement and support for students with learning disabilities.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Killeen, TX

+ Start Date: December 15, 2025

+ End Date: May 28, 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

+ Duration: 20 weeks

+ Pay Rate: $50/hour

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct assessments and evaluations for referred students

+ Select and administer appropriate testing tools

+ Score and analyze results to determine eligibility for special education services

+ Prepare and maintain Full Individual Evaluation (FIE) reports

+ Review outside evaluations and ensure compliance with TEA and federal regulations

+ Serve as case manager for assigned evaluations

+ Maintain documentation for Medicaid billing and district systems

+ Participate in ARD meetings, present assessment data, and assist in IEP development

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for autism and other evaluations

+ Conduct classroom observations, interviews, and collect data from teachers and parents

+ Ensure compliance with timelines and district guidelines

Requirements:

+ Master’s degree preferred

+ Two years of Special Education teaching experience preferred

+ Texas Teaching Certificate and Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate required

+ Knowledge of diagnostic procedures, special education laws, human development, and learning theories

+ Current CPR (if applicable), TB questionnaire, and health certificate per state regulations

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
