At the LSP Gaming Enforcement Division, our mission is the strict regulation and control of statutorily authorized gaming entities in conjunction with the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB). The regulation of gaming and the enforcement of criminal gambling laws promote the public’s health, safety, and welfare by safeguarding the people of Louisiana against corrupt and dishonest practices.
We’re seeking a candidate with experience and thorough knowledge of electronic gaming devices (EGDs) within the gaming industry. The Gaming Division is a professional, progressive team working to attract and support the talent that drives our mission forward. The GTC supervisor plays a key role in certifying, testing, and managing EGDs and gaming systems to ensure they comply with statutes and gaming regulations, to ensure the integrity of the Louisiana gaming industry. Our technical staff works closely with our audit staff, the Enforcement Section, and the Licensing Section to ensure the suitability and the integrity of all gaming operations and activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any area plus three years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
An associate's degree plus four years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus three years of information technology or electronic technician experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The Casino Technical Unit performs all testing, certifications, and compliance checks on electronic gaming devices (EGD), monitoring systems, and other equipment used in casino gaming operations. The unit also assists the ICC group in its review of new gaming technology. The Unit authorizes all shipments of EGDs in and out of Louisiana and the placement of EGDs on the casino floors.
As Gaming Technical Compliance Supervisor, you will supervise a staff of at least two Gaming Technical Compliance Techs in Baton Rouge. In this role, you will:
+ Set goals and conduct performance ratings for your staff
+ Work with other GTC supervisors to set, manage, and amend, as necessary, the strategic plan for the Technical Group.
+ Work with EGD vendors and GLI to maintain standards for certifying, testing, and taping EGDs.
+ Ensure staff have all the resources necessary to perform their jobs
+ Identify training opportunities for you and your staff
+ Review and process shipping of EGDs into and out of the state.
+ Assist in the creation and amendments of administrative rules and statutes to adapt to changes in the gaming industry
Position Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position can be filled as a probational appointment, job appointment, or promotional.
Career Progression: This position doesn't participate in a Career Progression Series.
Work Schedule:Typical hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, but there is flexibility.
Compensation: The compensation will be determined on experience.
