Position Description:
Performs instructional and educational work while serving as a teacher in a classroom/lab. Organizes and develops course work, coordinates classes for students, observes and assesses the needs of the students. Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations are responsibilities of all employees.

Major/Essential Functions:
+ Assists in planning and preparation of lessons to enhance students' skill sets related to life/academic/social skills skills through use of evidence based intervention activities, program design, records management.
+ Participates in workshops, trainings, and on-line courses required for job criteria at the Burkhart.
+ Maintains and updates proper documentation for Burkhart participants and updates program plans based on data and evaluations to track progress.
+ Serve as a lead for determining program goals, implementation, as well as appropriate program placement for Burkhart participants in a variety of setting and programs, dependent on the nature of each program assigned (Clinic, CASE, BCTA, etc).
+ Assists in planning curriculum and class activities to all Burkhart programs.
+ Participate in behavior management and instructional programs.
+ Participates in academic and behavioral assessments.
+ Communicates with parents, staff, and Burkhart participants on a daily basis.
+ Develop lesson plans and provide group and individualized intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
+ Participate in parent training.
