• Building Automation Control Specialist

    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking for a Building Automation Control Specialist to support their client in maintaining and operating building mechanical and control systems—including HVAC, chilled water/steam plants, and metering—to ensure optimal indoor environmental conditions across diverse spaces such as research laboratories. This role oversees control projects and leads special initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and contractors to develop operational procedures, sequences of operation, and custom BAS programming/graphics. The specialist commissions and recommissions systems, performs inspections and routine maintenance, and troubleshoots and repairs HVAC controls and related equipment (e.g., VFDs, BAS, programmable controllers) to maintain environmental integrity and energy efficiency. Additional responsibilities include maintaining documentation, analyzing system data, and recommending improvements to instrumentation and programming. While the position has no formal supervisory duties, it may orient new employees, guide contract staff, and respond rapidly to outages during inclement weather.

    Skills and Requirements

    Professional:

    - 3-5 years experience in Building Automation related role

     

    - 3-5 years experience with Building Automation Systems made by Trane, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, etc.

    Education:

    - High School Diploma HVAC Certified

     

    EPA License
