Full Time IT Administrative Assistant

### Job Duties
Serves as a first contact for troubleshooting support. Monitors helpdesk requests and escalates requests when needed.
Quotes, orders, and scheduling disposal of IT equipment and end-user technology items
Provides accurate information about IT products or services.
Maintains and administers badge and camera security systems.
Maintains paperwork, software, and badges for badge security.
Extracts needed video.
Reviews quarantined email for validity.
Provides price quotes for computer equipment to all departments for Board approval.
Purchases computer supplies and any I.T. department supplies.
Develops and maintains documentation for all new end-user devices and their software for reference by the I.T. Department.
Responsible for IT asset management tracking and inventory
Adds and removes equipment from asset management
Creates reports
Makes changes to asset management configuration
Provides asset management training to users of the system
Assist in establishing policies regarding standardized software and hardware purchasing.
Provide hands-on training to all county staff for a variety of software, (Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, email, internet, etc.).
Occasionally, provides IT services to additional entities such as price quotes and purchasing of equipment and supplies.
Records voice messages for phone directories for all departments.
Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable for IT Department.
Tracks and monitors software licenses.
Other duties, office or IT related, as assigned.
Serves in rotation as paid-on-call on weekends and holidays.
Other duties as assigned or apparent.
Position is a Grade 4 with an entry hourly wage range of $23.84 to $26.73, DOQ.

### Minimum Education Required
Qualifications
Associates Degree in Administrative Office Assistant
OR
1 year degree in Administrative Office Specialist/Business Administration and 2 years' experience in PC hardware; Microsoft 365; help desk; or customer support experience.
Familiarity with the information needs of management and each individual county department preferred.
Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive in the state of Minnesota.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and skill in clerical functions, Microsoft Office Suite, and computer database operation.
Ability to provide optimal customer service skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral forms.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and have strong positive public relations skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to handle a variety of typical assignments and problems under mild supervision within standard operating procedures.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks, processes or operations requiring the selection and execution of actions based on defined procedures or straight-forward directions.
Effective communication with department and other departments, outside agencies and public on specialized matters requiring detailed or technical responses/explanations.
