• Internship Overview

We are seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to join our POC team with a focus on Nuclear Power Generation systems and operations. This role is ideal for students pursuing nuclear engineering or related disciplines who want to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in the energy sector. Interns will gain exposure to nuclear plant performance monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization strategies that support safe and efficient operations.

Job Description

• Key Responsibilities

+ Assist in analyzing nuclear plant operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.

+ Support the development of diagnostic tools and models for nuclear system monitoring.

+ Collaborate with engineers to evaluate performance metrics, safety margins, and reliability indicators.

+ Contribute to projects that enhance workflow automation and visualization systems for nuclear operations.

+ Document findings and present project outcomes to the POC team and leadership.

+ Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

+ Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment

+ All other duties as assigned

• Qualifications

+ Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

+ Familiarity with nuclear power systems, reactor operations, or energy generation fundamentals.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in data-driven decision-making.

+ Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar) preferred.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly.

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are　NOT　eligible for this internship.

+ Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date

+ Must be in good academic standing with your school
