Description

Astor Services is hiring a Preschool Licensed Nurse Practitioner today! Enjoy working Monday through Friday with summers off. Head Start is a federally funded preschool program delivering services to 3 and 4-year old children and their families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being.

Astor has a specialized pre-school program looking for an LPN to join our team. School nurse responsibilities include providing first aid, record keeping, medication administration, and parent communication. The LPN candidate must be organized and able to build strong relationships with the children and families. This will be a 25 hour work week. Come join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

+ The LPN ensures and coordinates the provision of appropriate and needed medical services to children in foster care both routinely and in emergencies as mandated by regulatory standards of New York State.

+ Ensures the child receives appropriate treatment and that staff are aware of any special health needs of the child and performs follow-up to ensure the child's condition improves.

+ Communicates all health-related matters to the biological families of the children enrolled in the Program as well as to the staff.

+ Responsible for the generation and maintenance of written records related to the health of the children.

+ Responsible for preparing required internal and external medical accountability reports and forms.

+ Participates in the intake process and attends intake meetings when applicable.

Requirements
