    This Machine Operator II position is on 2nd shift.

     

    Hiring bonus of $500.00 payable after 90 days for new hires.

     

    Wage starts at $22.86/hour plus $1.50/hour shift differential.

     

    **Essential Functions:** Set-up and operate various machines and equipment to cut, bend, shape, shear, punch, drill, and/or test raw materials, parts, components and/or assemblies.

    Education:

    High school diploma or GED required

     

    Blueprint Reading

     

    Precision Tools and Measuring

    Certifications:

    + Forklift, if applicable

    Quality Metric:

    + Scrap Dollars

    + Rejected and/or reworked parts

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Demonstrate ability to read and understand TK prints for specific department.

    + Demonstrate ability to use measuring equipment for specific department.

    + Take Minimum Qualifications Test with a desired score of 70% or better.

    + Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance

     

    Introductory Level:** **Primary focus is learning the process

     

    + Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)

    + Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals

    + Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace

    + Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement

    + Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible

    + Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems

    + Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost

    Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)

     

    + Demonstrate ability to set-up and run basic operations with assistance: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)

    + Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with assistance.

    + Demonstrate ability to produce quality parts within acceptable scrap rate.

    + Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.

    + Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs).

     

    Qualified Level:** **Primary focus is performing the essential duties of the position

    Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 18 months)

     

    + Demonstrate ability to set-up and run >50% of operations in specific department with little or no assistance to include: Press brakes, *CNC punches, and *laser machines. (* if applicable)

    + Demonstrate ability to make proper adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment with little or no assistance.

    + Demonstrate ability to do basic prototyping of parts with little or no assistance.

    + Demonstrate the ability to calculate bend allowances and understand tooling radius.

    + Demonstrate ability to perform preventive maintenance on related machinery and/or equipment.

    + Able to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced without any assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements for the department.We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
