Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Manufacturing Engineer Intern to Support F\-35 Center Wing Production Engineering \(Marietta, GA\)\. In this role, you will be working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms\. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of thriving in a fast\-paced environment, enjoy working in a production environment with operators\. Be self\-motivated, take initiative, and have strong work ethic\. Have a learning and continuous improvement attitude\. Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle\. The Manufacturing Engineering \(ME\) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full\-rate production standup and support, and post\-delivery sustainment and modification activities\. MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production\. Must be a US Citizen\. This position is at a facility that requires special access\.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree relating to Engineering \(Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial\) or related technical degree

Previous experience \(or expressed interest\) working in an Operations role in a manufacturing environment\.

Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in ‘hands\-on’ applications of engineering and manufacturing principles\.

Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint\.

Strong oral and written communication skills\.

Desired Skills:

Prior experience in a related industry preferred\.

Member of the SME, SAE, ASME, or other similar technical organization

Design, build club/project experience \(i\.e\., SAE Formula and Baja\)\.

Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
