    We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Emerging Technology, to serve as the catalyst for technological advancement. This role entails scouting the horizon for new opportunities from AI and VR to advanced cloud infrastructure and developing the strategies to implement them globally. This position requires close collaboration with various business units, Global Information Technology teams, and executive stakeholders across the company.

     

    This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship** **is not** **available for this position.

    What you’ll do

    + **Strategic Leadership:** Identify and assess emerging technologies that offer a competitive advantage. Develop comprehensive roadmaps and strategies for their evaluation, piloting, and enterprise-wide implementation.

    + **Technical Execution & Architecture:** Lead the technical design and development of proofs-of-concept and pilot projects. Apply strong, practical knowledge of modern front-end and back-end development frameworks, languages, and best practices to rapidly test and iterate concepts.

    + **Cloud Infrastructure Management:** Architect, deploy, and manage solutions within major cloud environments. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized for emerging technology deployments.

    + **Project Management:** Oversee the development and delivery of projects that utilize emerging tech. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and post-implementation review, ensuring initiatives meet business objectives and timelines.

    + **Team Management:** Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals. Foster professional development to ensure the team’s skills and capabilities are aligned with evolving organizational needs.

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with across departments to integrate new technologies seamlessly and ensure strong alignment between technology initiatives and overall business strategy.

    + **Risk Mitigation:** Proactively identify and manage the technical, operational, and security risks associated with adopting new technologies. Develop frameworks for safe, compliant, and responsible implementation.

    + **Research and Thought Leadership:** Stay current on industry trends, conduct ongoing research, and provide thought leadership and briefings on the emerging technology landscape.

    + **Partnership Building:** Collaborate with external partners, vendors, academic institutions, and innovators to leverage external expertise and support the integration of cutting-edge solutions.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + 10+ years of total professional experience, 7+ years of experience in a technology role with a focus on innovation, software engineering, R&D, or digital transformation.

    + 2+ years of experience overseeing technical teams or managing complex projects.

    + Strong proficiency in modern front-end and back-end development frameworks and languages.

    + Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience managing and architecting solutions on cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

    + Demonstrable knowledge and application of emerging technologies, including AI/ML.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Relevant certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect) or project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).

    + Experience working in a large, global organization.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership

    + Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of enterprise-level technology projects.

    Compensation and Benefits

    Salary Range $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD

     

    Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

     

    Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
