As an Armed Patrol Officer at this shelter location, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to individuals at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

+ Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and residents as needed.

+ Perform access control duties, verifying identification and authorizations for entry to designated areas.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.

+ Support Allied Universal management and local authorities as required during emergencies or incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ Possess a valid armed guard card or license.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
