Worldwide Grocery Store Tech (WWGST) is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical to join our Grocery Retail and In-Store Experience (GRAISE) team, leading hardware and other in-store technology initiatives. This role will drive product strategy and execution for next-generation in-store hardware solutions, working at the intersection of hardware, software, and retail innovation. You'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing the in-store shopping experience, developing new technologies to create engaging shopping experiences for our customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to the product roadmap for checkout and In-store engagement products and associated in-store technologies.
- Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements, architecture decisions, and development priorities, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
- Drive product improvements through data-driven analysis, customer feedback, and field performance metrics.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning hardware, firmware, and software teams, coordinating efforts across electrical, mechanical, design, and software engineering disciplines.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize cart deployment, maintenance, and fleet management strategies across diverse store environments.
- Define and track key performance metrics for cart hardware and store systems, including uptime, performance, and customer adoption rates.
- Develop comprehensive business cases for new technology investments, balancing innovation with cost-effectiveness and scalability
- Work backwards from customer needs to deliver innovative shopping experiences, considering both shopper and store associate perspectives.
- Maintain an active awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to integrate innovative solutions into the grocery technology ecosystem.
- Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-driven decision making.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the versatility to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, delivering measurable results.
About the team
The Grocery Retail and In-Store Experience team owns the products that power checkout and in-store customer engagement, helping shopper save time and money, and enabling store associates to do their jobs more effectively. Products include Dash Cart, Self-Checkout (SCO), Point of Sale (POS), Electronic Shelf Labels, Digital Displays, In-Store Mode for the Amazon app, and more.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience with innovation, development, testing
- Experience in retail or operations
- Knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
