Electrical Project Designer / Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

We’re seeking a mid-career Electrical Project Designer to join our growing team in San Bernardino. This is a hands-on design role focused on drafting and producing biddable construction documents for building systems. While the priority is for a Designer, we’re open to reviewing Project Manager candidates with strong technical backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead portions of electrical design independently under engineer supervision

+ Design electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and controls

+ Produce construction documents and support drafting and design

+ Ensure code compliance and assist with load calculations

+ Collaborate with clients and internal teams; participate in site walks and kickoff meetings

+ Occasional exposure to proposal development and client interaction

What We’re Looking For

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)

+ 4–5 years of experience in electrical design for building systems (mid-career level)

+ Strong Revit proficiency (non-negotiable); AutoCAD experience also required

+ Knowledge of NEC, CA Title 24, and building codes

+ Project experience in commercial, schools (K-12/DSA), multifamily, or data centers

+ Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Nice-to-Haves:

+ EIT or PE license

+ Experience with Arc Flash, EasyPower, SKM Power

+ LEED AP or sustainability certifications

+ Interest or experience in AI integration for design automation

+ Familiarity with Dynamo, Bluebeam, and advanced electrical tools

Compensation & Benefits

+ Salary: $65,000–$80,000 (flexible; up to $95K for PE-level candidates)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
