Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team on the 1st shift. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive hourly rate. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of experience in a quality technician or inspection role, although we are open to training entry-level candidates. This position involves working with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, as well as performing basic data input and email communication. Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, and lifting products ranging from 5-25 lbs for the majority of the day.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct audits of the production line.

+ Measure production to ensure compliance with standards.

+ Engage in frequent walking and interaction with the production environment.

+ Collaborate with engineering to confirm product issues and assign cases.

+ Send professional emails across teams and input measurement data into Excel.

+ Document any findings that do not meet quality standards and take timely action.

+ Assist in creating or updating documentation.

+ Identify and lead efforts to improve manufacturing processes.

+ Collaborate with engineering to test and inspect products.

+ Evaluate and process Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.

Essential Skills

+ 1-2 years of related quality or manufacturing experience.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficient in using standard measurement equipment and tools, including micrometers, gauges, and calipers.

+ Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Work Environment

This position is within a fast-paced site with significant internal growth opportunities. The work environment is darker, dirtier, and louder than typical office settings, characteristic of a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be prepared for a louder workspace but will be part of a large, internationally represented company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
