Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description
The Electrical Engineering Technician will be responsible for testing and assembling UAVs, maintaining and upgrading the current fleet, and working on new builds.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and integrate electromechanical systems for UAV platforms, including wiring, connectors, and structural components.
+ Fabricate and route wire and cable harnesses according to engineering drawings and industry standards.
+ Perform functional and continuity testing on electrical systems and subsystems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues during assembly and testing phases.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of assembly processes and test results.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives for assembly and testing workflows.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using test equipment and performing electrical assembly.
+ Experience with electrical design and electromechanical systems.
+ 3+ years of experience in testing and assembly.
+ Experience with wire and cable harnesses.
+ Mechanical knowledge and skills in addition to primarily electrical experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
+ Familiarity with Electrical, Schematic, Hardware, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
+ Design experience is preferred.
Work Environment
The role is based in a test ranch and manufacturing facility, offering a cool start-up environment where you will have the opportunity to design an aircraft from start to finish.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buda, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $48.00/hr.
