Job Title: General Production Operator

2nd: 3PM-1:30AM Mon - Thurs

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and dedicated General Production Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various machinery including punch presses, drill presses, shear presses, and more. You will have the opportunity to be cross-trained in multiple areas based on production needs. Responsibilities include loading and unloading machines, monitoring machine operations to ensure smooth production, and maintaining a clean work environment. This position requires the use of hand and power tools, as well as overhead cranes for product movement.

Responsibilities

+ Perform final switch point assembly and grinding.

+ Assist with CNC drilling operations.

+ Build panels and pre-assemble and deburr points and rails.

+ Use grinders, impacts, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

+ Participate in the Frog Assembly Department, using cranes and benders to assemble frogs.

+ Operate a punch press and push large guiderails through a bending machine.

+ Assemble brackets on guiderails using basic hand tools.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.25/hr.
