    Job Title: Document Control Technician

    Job Description

    The Document Control Technician is responsible for processing, distributing, retrieving, maintaining, and archiving all project-related records. This role supports project and program record management using the Project Management Information System and hard-copy files. The position may require co-location with the construction management team in a field environment after training.

    Responsibilities

    + Control, scan, index, link, file, and distribute documents, including internal records and those shared with external entities such as City Agencies, consultants, and contractors.

    + Manage document flow for correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, RFIs, and contract plans/specifications.

    + Prepare transmittals and distribute/retrieve documents using the designated system.

    + Assist Project Managers and teams with document control processes and workflows.

    + Support project teams in organizing approvals and participate in meetings as needed.

    + Train new staff on document control procedures when designated as lead.

    Essential Skills

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a results-driven mindset.

    + Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

    + Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

    + Customer-service oriented with a 'can-do' attitude.

    + Ability to lift and move boxes/packages up to 40 lbs.

    + 5–10 years of experience in document processing and data management.

    + Experience at large international airports preferred.

    + Previous experience managing document control for large-scale construction projects ($25M+).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with public-sector programs is highly desirable.

    + Certification for document control professionals is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The role may require overtime or shift work, and reliable transportation is necessary for travel between office and field locations. The position offers a mix of office and field work environments, allowing you to engage with different aspects of project management.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
