Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will lead troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for equipment, acting as the first level of escalation for lower-level technicians. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical and mechanical malfunctions by inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Dismantle and rebuild machinery, equipment, and field devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
+ Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
+ Lead the PdM program, perform repairs, verify findings from lower technicians, and provide trend reports to site leadership.
+ Utilize prints, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts catalogs as needed.
+ Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools like hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, or electronic testing devices.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, control field devices, contactors, starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, HMIs, interlock safety devices, etc.
+ Mentor junior technicians and peers, providing motivation and guidance to achieve departmental goals and conducting safety training.
+ Review and complete work orders timely, performing necessary maintenance or repairs.
+ Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure compliance by all Maintenance Personnel.
+ Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and communicate any maintenance issues to Plant Management.
+ Complete daily reports outlining maintenance or repairs conducted during the shift.
+ Participate in root cause analysis events for the local site.
+ Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
+ Support all safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives and policies.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance technician skills.
+ Mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics expertise.
+ Experience with 3 phase electrical systems.
+ 3 to 5 years of experience for Level 2 candidates.
+ 7+ years of experience, repair, preventive maintenance, HVAC, and PLC troubleshooting for Level 3 candidates.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lead and perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure efficient and safe machine operation.
+ Mentoring and training of maintenance team members.
+ Coordination with Plant Management to establish maintenance schedules.
+ Providing own tools as per a predefined tool list (available upon request).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
