Job Title:** **Welder – 1st Shift

**Shift:** 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Bettendorf, IA

**Pay:** $23-25/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced **Welder** to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in **MIG welding** and the ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols. TIG welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding and grinding to clean up weld metal.

+ Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production.

+ Use calipers and micrometers to measure Auger Flyte.

+ Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

+ Assist with prepping bays alongside helpers.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG welding.

+ Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols.

+ Experience with fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Welding certificate from a High School or Technical School.

+ TIG welding experience preferred.

Work Environment

+ Work in a well-equipped weld shop with up to 20 welders.

+ Initial training for 1–2 weeks with a manager, followed by independent work with occasional check-ins.

+ Dress code: jeans (no holes), boots, and T-shirt. Dress warmly in winter as doors may be open.

+ Weld helmet required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
