Job Title: CDL Driver
Job Description
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to product handling and delivering goods to customers safely and promptly. This role requires adherence to product specifications, company policies, and acceptable standards. You must be available for a minimum of two overnight stays per week. This position involves touch freight and requires unloading assistance at delivery points.
Responsibilities
+ Drive safely, adhering to all DOT regulations for extended periods.
+ Read and converse in English to understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
+ Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle in this touch freight role.
+ Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operation.
+ Provide customer assistance by completing required staging and assembly tasks.
+ Ensure safe and timely deliveries to customers.
+ Accurately load customers and inspect for damaged materials.
+ Provide personal attention to customer requests or product needs during loading.
+ Maintain and practice company and DOT safety policies and procedures.
+ Ensure building and product security, including inventory and damage control.
+ Maintain Federal and State required logs.
+ Handle cash and company credit card responsibly, submitting timely expense reports.
+ Serve as a backup driver for transporting material to Kansas manufacturing facilities.
+ Assist in the completion of production orders.
+ Accurately unload and receive incoming products.
+ Perform other duties as reasonably assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Valid Class A CDL and meet the minimum DOT age requirement of 21 years old.
+ Three to five years of driving experience.
+ Clear and effective written and oral communication in English.
+ Superb driving record.
+ Ability to operate power tools.
+ Mechanically inclined.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Customer service oriented.
+ Experience with forklift operations.
+ Ability to perform manual tasks that require precision and dexterity.

Work Environment
This role involves being on the road for overnight runs a couple of days a week, driving a CDL truck, and assisting with unloading the truck. The position requires physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling tasks, with the necessary precautions taken to ensure safety and teamwork.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.
