    Job Description

    The individual will be responsible for assembling trusses by placing pre-cut wood/lumber on a large table equipped with a laser guide. The process involves piecing together the truss much like a puzzle and using a hammer to secure metal plates over designated areas.

    Responsibilities

    + Piece together trusses on a guided table using pre-cut wood.

    + Hammer in metal plates to assemble trusses.

    + Pull lumber orders manually using pallet jacks.

    + Load lumber onto the conveyor system.

    + Load, operate, and offload machinery.

    + Use staple guns, hammers, and brackets for construction assembly of wood trusses.

    + Stage completed work in the yard ready for forklifts.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 6 months of experience in truss building.

    + Ability to speak and understand English.

    + Capability to read basic measurements using a standard tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with truss, warehouse, and construction environments.

    + Familiarity with machine operation and using saws, hand tools, and power tools.

    + Possession of a 22 oz hammer (wood preferred).

    + Possession of rain gear and appropriate boots (leather, covering the ankle).

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves working in various positions related to truss building in a production facility. Candidates should be adaptable to different tasks and environments, which include manual lumber pulling, machine operation, and assembly line work. Proper attire such as rain gear and leather boots is required for safety and comfort.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasco, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
