Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with a strong background in heavy industrial machine operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at reading and interpreting calipers, tape measures, and basic blueprints. The role involves setting up products on machinery, following detailed instructions, and ensuring product accuracy through precise measurements.
Responsibilities
+ Operate heavy industrial machinery with precision.
+ Read and interpret measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures.
+ Set up products onto machinery accurately.
+ Follow step-by-step instructions for machine operations.
+ Measure products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
+ Notify maintenance or management if product tolerances are off.
+ Perform minimal deburring of products.
+ Utilize hand cranes to move materials off the production line.
+ Meet production output targets.
+ Complete documentation of errors, measurements, and product completion.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in heavy industrial or steel fabrication and steel cutting.
+ Proficiency in machine operation or CNC operation.
+ Ability to read and interpret measurement tools and basic blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience with CNC machinery and production processes.

Work Environment
The facility is older, consisting of two separate buildings and is currently undergoing upgrades. It hosts larger areas of CNC machinery, weld booths, and racking systems. The work environment is loud, dirty, and can vary in temperature—hot during warm months and cold in winter. Employees will work in specific departments with a supervisor and set team. Must wear steel-toe boots. The facility is expanding to include three shifts: 1st shift (7 am-3 pm), 2nd shift (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd shift (11 pm-7 am), with initial training on the day shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40/hr.
