Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Manhattan Beach, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing billing procedures, processing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations within the retail industry.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions, including billing and payment activities.

• Process incoming payments, including checks and cash, and ensure proper documentation and reconciliation.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains and IBM AS/400 to manage financial data effectively.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and address customer inquiries related to billing.

• Generate detailed financial reports and summaries using Microsoft Excel to support decision-making processes.

• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Streamline accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial operations.

• Provide support during audits and reviews by preparing necessary documentation and reports. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar financial roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Great Plains and IBM AS/400.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites.

• Strong understanding of billing, cash activity, and check processing.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external customers.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable.
